We offer a variety of binder-free glass microfiber filters for different sample types and analysis needs. For higher wet strength, increased loading capacity, or different particle retention.
Filters that combine high loading capacity with fine particle retention are well suited for applications such as water quality parameter measurements involving large sample volumes. Grade MG filters can function as wastewater filters or serve as filters in the following applications:

◆Glass fiber filter-Grade MGC Slightly more retentive than MGA and MG 550 HA. Combines fine particle retention with good flow rate. The standard filter for the collection of suspended solids in potable water and natural and industrial wastes. Fast and efficient clarification of aqueous liquids containing low to medium levels of fine particulates can be carried out in the laboratory. ◆Glass fiber filter Grade - MGD The MGD Glass microfiber filter is considerably faster in flow rate and overall filtration speed than Cellulose filter papers of similar particle retention. The filter is thick and consequently exhibits a high loading capacity. Designed as a membrane prefilter and available in sizes to fit most holders. MGD will provide good protection for finely retentive membranes. ◆ Glass fiber filter - MGF This glass fiber filter has a very rapid flow rate and an extremely high loading capacity. Because of the tight specification of 0.7 µm particle retention and pure borosilicate glass structure, MGF is the material upon which the EPA Method TCLP 1311 for Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure was developed. It remains today the filter of choice. Recommended for DNA binding and purification. ◆ Finetech®-Glass Microfiber Filter Micro-glass fiber filters offer high efficiency, submicron particle retention combined with high permeability and high dust holding capacity . Micro-glass filters are made of high-purity borosilicate glass microfibers that are biologically inert and resistant to most solvents and reagents with the exception of hydrofluoric acid and highly concentrated alkali solutions. Binder-free grades are temperature resistant to about 500℃.Grade MG 550 HA can withstand temperatures to 550℃. General description The fine particle retention of this popular grade is superior for its high retention efficiency at high flow rates and its high loading capacity. This is a smooth surface, high-retention borosilicate glass microfiber filter which withstands temperatures over 500°C. Used for determining total suspended solids in water, removal of turbidity, and filtration of bacterial cultures. Grade 934-AH is used for a wide range of laboratory applications. It is recommended for water pollution monitoring, cell harvesting, liquid scintillation counting, and air pollution monitoring. 934-AH Glass Microfiber filters are suitable for suspended solids analysis. These filters also permit rapid passage of very large sample volumes without blockage for the collection of suspended solids in potable, natural, and industrial waters. Specified in standard methods* for determining total suspended solids in water, 934-AH Glass Microfiber Filters are excellent for the removal of turbidity and filtration of bacterial cultures. The fine particle retention of this popular grade is superior to any cellulose filter of similar rating and is capable of high retention efficiency at high flow rates.934-AH is now available in a RTU (ready to use) format for your Total Suspended Solids.
